A timeline of Animation.

Alright, so my timeline was completed, and it details the birth and life of animation and it’s role on modern TV and Film.

I wanted to take it one step further and make use of flash actionscript to give it some interactivity. Allowing button clicking for movement and zooming. I already knew what kind of problems I might encounter, though the movement scripting is rather basic. I’d have to turn the entire lot into a symbol and shrink the stage area from 2000×2000 to 500×350. More managable, but then I’d have to move the entire lot in it’s symbol form to give the impression of camera panning. A year 3 animator mentioned to me V-cam, a kind of third party made application for flash that simulates a camera viewer. However, my entire project was made in Actionscript 3.0, which posed many problems of compatability.

After a lot of messing around, I loaded a 2.0 file, copy and pasted the layers across (with some difficulty) and stuck to the symbol movement idea, rather than using V cam.
